Chandigarh, September 10: Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said that preference would be given to the destitute, deserted, divorcee, widow and war widows for recruitment as the Anganwadi workers & Anganwadi helpers .
The widows, deserted, divorcees and the wives of serving life term convicts would be given 15 percent & 25 percent weightage marks respectively for selection of Anganwadi workers & Anganwadi helpers so that the women having no economic means could support themselves and their children.
The selection process for recruiting the 8255 Aanganwadi workers and 7995 Aanganwadi helpers is on in the state and the department has directed for completion of the process before 30 November. Only, the local domiciles of the villages are eligible for the recruitment. 60 percent marks would be given for matriculation marks, 7 percent for experience, 8 percent for the daughter-in-law of the village for selection of Aanganwadi workers. Only 10 per cent marks would be for interview, he added.
For selection as Aanganwadi helpers, the total marks would be 40 marks. Primary pass is essential educational qualification for Aanganwadi helpers. 20 marks would be given for Primary, 5 marks for Middle pass, 10 marks for widows, deserted, divorcee and the wife of serving life term convicts. Only 5 marks would be for interview.
The selection committees for rural and urban areas would be headed by the concerned Additional Deputy Commissioners, while the Programme Officer of Integrated Child Development Scheme would be the conveners. The selection committees would include other local officers as well.
