Chandigarh, January 14 – Haryana Police has busted an inter-state gang of criminals engaged in theft of vehicles and has nabbed three of its members at Odha in district Sirsa.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Police Department said that the police has successfully solved 17 cases of theft of vehicle through preliminary interrogation of the nabbed robbers. The arrested robbers had been identified as Nayab Singh, Jasbeer and Gurpreet. They would be presented in the court to get their remand so that the stolen vehicles could be recovered from them. They had confessed of having stolen 14 vehicles from Sirsa and three from Punjab.
He said that in another case, on a tip off that one Sanjeev Kumar was planning to rob the Kisan Krishi Sewa Kendra Petrol Pump, Bhadso, the police teams raided the deserted Petrol Pump located at Umri-Indri Road, Karnal and nabbed him and his accomplices. One country made pistol, one live cartridge, two iron rods, one battery and a knife were recovered from them. All the arrested five had confessed that they had shot a driver of tractor trolley on Bhadso Road and had stolen his tractor on January 3, 2012.
