Chandigarh, February 16- Taking stern action against dereliction in duty, the Haryana Government today suspended Naib Tehsildar, Sonepat Ravinder Singh Malik for non delivery of registered deeds to the purchasing parties.
While stating this today, an official spokesman said that Commissioner, Rohtak had received many complaints regarding non delivery of registered deeds to purchasing parties.
He said that acting swiftly on the complaints received, Commissioner Rohtak today conducted a raid along with his staff at the Tehsil Office, Sonepat where large number of registered deeds was found lying unsigned in the room of registration clerks. These registered deeds relate to registration period as back as January 29 and January 30, he added.
He said that despite lapse of 18 days in some cases, still the signature of joint sub-registrar was not affixed on sale deeds due to which such documents could not be delivered to the public. About 250 such unsigned and undelivered documents were found. These documents belonged to registration dates of January 29, January 30, February 9, February 10, February 11, February 12, and February 13. He said that according to the existing system of registration in State, Tehsildar and Naib Tehsildar carry out the registration work in alternate weeks and all these dates belonged to registration of Naib Tehsildar Ravinder Malik.
He said that as per registration manual, parties are entitled for getting the registered deed promptly and if immediate delivery is not possible then sub-registrar or joint-sub-registrar would intimate time when it would be delivered. The present Appointment Management System (AMS) running in Tehsils also has mandate of delivery after 3 pm on same day. His non deliverance of deeds after so many days is gross negligence and also the presence of malafide intention could not be ruled out at this stage, he further added.
