Chadnigarh , June 27- Now, the residents residing in the Gurgaon Municipal Corporation (MCG) area can get the printout of their Birth & Death registration certificate at their home itself and they need not have to visit the MCG office any more. From 28th June evening any one would be able to make use of this new facility. There are about 180 hospitals located in the MCG area and it has been made mandatory for all of them to upload the information regarding birth and death in their hospital on the MCG website- www.mcg.gov.in on daily basis. The certificate bearing digitalized signature of the issuing Authority will be placed on the e- mail of the hospital, the print out of which can be taken and handed over to the concerned family after receiving a fee of Rs 12. If the family has left the hospital, they can apply for the Birth or Death Certificate online on the MCG’s website and take print out of the certificate then and there. For this, the applicant will have to pay fee of Rs 12 online, either through Credit or Debit Card. 78 Banks have been identified for deposit of fee whose Credit or Debit cards will be accepted. The data of Birth & Death since 1st November 2001 to till date have been placed on the MCG website and anyone can have access to it.
Presently also the application for obtaining Birth & Death Certificate can be made online on the website of the MCG but the applicant has to collect the certificate from the office.But after start of new facility, the certificate can be obtained online and there will be no need to visit the MCG office.
