Chandigarh, December 13 –Haryana police has recovered the bag of well known cricketer Mr. Harbhajan Singh which was stolen from his car near Madhuban in district Karnal last evening and has sent it to the address given by Mr. Harbhajan Singh in Delhi.
While stating this today, the Deputy Superintendent of Police (City) Karnal, Mr. Joginder Rathi said that the bag has been recovered from green belt in sector 13 in Karnal and it contained 34 debt cards, five ATM cards and a green card of his cousin.
He said that the police has caught some suspects and was interrogating them. He said that during last evening at around 7:30 p.m. when Mr. Harbhajan Singh, accompanied by his cousin was on his way to Delhi in his car, he stopped near Madhuban at a café to have coffee. It was there that some unknown thieves broke a window pane of the car and escaped with Rs. 9500 in cash, a passport, necessary documents and above mentioned cards. No sooner did the police came to know of the theft, it acted swiftly and five teams of police personnel were sent to different places to arrest the culprits. These teams were still looking for the criminals as the police was searching for the thieves in the area adjacent to Madhuban, slum area and neighbouring districts. He hoped that the culprit would soon be arrested.
