Chandigarh, February 11: The Board of School Education Haryana, Bhiwani has decided to conduct the examination of first semester of Diploma in Education (D.Ed) from April 23, 2011 as a result of implementation of semester system in D.Ed during first year in 2010.
Stating this today, Secretary of the Board Mr. Shekhar Vidhyarthy said that application forms would be made available to all the educational institutions at the coordination centers established at district headquarters on February 15, 2011. After filling up the applications forms and depositing the fee, all the educational institutions could submit the same upto February 22 at the coordination centers established in their respective districts.
He said that according to a recent decision of the State Government, for the first time the Board would conduct the examination in three year diploma under the semester system in which about 20,000 candidates, who got admission in this course in the year 2010 would appear in examination. Besides, the Board would also take examination of those candidates who have compartment or failed in the D.Ed first and second year examination conducted in the year 2009 and 2010.
However, the candidates who had failed or were absent or had compartment would have to take examination under the single sitting system as applicable earlier. Such candidates have to submit their application forms through their respective educational institutions to the Board office by February 22 without any late fee.
Giving details of the latest decision regarding the examination fee, Mr. Shekhar said that under the semester system, for the examination of first and second semester the candidate have to apply only once and Rs. 1000 has been fixed as examination fee. For candidates of single sitting system, Rs. 500 would be charged as examination fee as applicable earlier.
