Chandigarh, June 7-Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said that he would again urge the Central Government to give Haryana a special Industrial Package, on the pattern of Himachal Pradesh, for its hilly areas of Morni and Mewat. However, he added that he was not against Himachal Pradesh getting special industrial package, but Haryana should also get it for its similar areas.
He was talking to media persons at Panchkula, near here today. He said that even earlier when the UPA Government was at the Centre, he had raised this issue of special industrial package for Haryana.
He said that long standing demand of the people to set up a university in Panchkula would be fulfilled. A national institute of fashion technology is being setup at Panchkula and the state government will contribute Rs. 100 crore for this project.
Mr Hooda said the Congress party was in the process of raising a force of two lakh dedicated workers for the ensuing Assembly elections and it is on their strength that he would again form government for the third consecutive term. “I have directed officers in the state to give a sympathetic hearing to all the party workers who visited them for their work and those who would not abide by these orders would not be spared”, he added.
