Chandigarh, September 15-The birthday of Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda was celebrated with great pomp and show by the people in district Rohtak, where the Congress men not only cut cakes, but ‘yajna’ was also performed in his native village Sanghi. Also, a circle Kabaddi championship was organised to mark the occasion.
A large number of people had come from other areas to Sanghi to celebrate the birthday.
While speaking at birthday celebrations in village Sanghi, MP Mr Shadi Lal Batra credited the unprecedented development in Haryana to Chief Minister, Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda saying that other States were now following the trend set by Haryana. MLA from Meham Mr Anand Singh Dangi and MLA Kalanaur Ms Shakuntala congratulated the Chief Minister and described him as a true well-wisher of all sections of the society. Kuldeep Singh Namberdar thanked the people for coming in such a large number to celebrate the birthday of Mr Hooda. A number of prominent persons were present on the occasion.
A colourful cultural programme was organised, where laddoos of desi ghee were distributed.
The birthday was also celebrated in the premises of Matu Ram Polytechnic at village Sanghi, where Namberdar Kuldeep Singh and other prominent persons cut a cake and distributed it among the students. The photograph of Mr Hooda was given away as a memento to the winners of Circle Kabaddi Championship, media persons and participants of cultural programme so as to honour them.
The birthday of Mr Hooda was also celebrated at block level in Sampla and the function was organised at Sir Chhotu Ram Museum, where MLA Mr B.B. Batra was the chief guest. A 64 kgs cake was cut to mark the occasion. While speaking on the occasion, Mr Batra said that Mr Hooda has been following the footsteps of Sir Chhotu Ram. A ‘yajna’ was also organised in the office of Congress party.
Later on, the MLA visited a blood donation camp organised by Sat Jinda Kalyan. In addition to it, blankets were distributed by former District Working President of the Congress Party Mr Surender Pawar at HAFED Chowk. He also distributed laddoos.
The birthday celebrations were also held at camp office of Mr Hooda in Rohtak, where Additional Political Advisor of Chief Minister Mr J.K. Malhotra and other prominent persons and Mr Lekh Pal Hooda cut a cake. A large number of people were present on the occasion.
