Chandigarh, April 29 – The Badarpur (Delhi) to Hodal (Uttar Pradesh Border) in Palwal district would be six laned with an investment of Rs. 600 crore. Haryana Chief Minister Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda would lay its foundation stone of the in September at Hodal.
This was stated by Congress Member of Parliament Mr Deepender Singh Hooda while addressing a well attended function at Hodal today. The function was organized by ‘Dalit Kalyan Samiti’ President and former MLA Mr Udaybhan to commemorate the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar. Thousands of people from different villages of the area participated in this six hour long function. Mr Hooda was given rousing welcome at Hodal and was taken to the rally venue in a three kilometer long motorcycle rally.
While recalling the contribution of Bharat Ratna Dr. B. R. Ambedkar and paying rich tributes to him, Mr. Hooda said that he gave a new direction to the country. He said that apart from India, many countries like Egypt, Pakistan, North Korea and Afghanistan got freedom after the Second World War, but the people could well understand where they all stand now. He said that it is very easy to say that nothing has been done in the country after attaining freedom but the fact remains that India is ahead of Pakistan by twenty years. Similarly, Egypt, North Korea and other countries have been left behind. India has maximum number of religions, castes and other dissimilarities, but despite that India is one and progressing well. Today, our country stood strong as a rock and in present era it is considered as the fastest growing nation. It is acknowledged that India would be number one country in the world by the year 2050, he further added.
Mr Hooda said that he was proud that his grandfather Ch. Ranbir Singh worked under the leadership of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar in framing the constitution. My father Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda also remained Member of Parliament with Mr Parkash Ambedkar, the son of Dr Ambedkar. He called upon the people to learn from the slogan of Dr Ambedkar, ‘Be Educated, Be United’.
Mr Hooda said that the congress government has taken number of initiatives for the development of national capital region and the state government was committed for further development. He said that work on Faridabad Metro has already started and progressing well, but it is yet to be taken to Ballabhgarh and Bahadurgarh. He said that the Chief Minister Mr Hooda has special affection for the area of Faridabad and Palwal.
Mr Deepender Hooda said that the people of the state were well aware on the condition of the state seven years back. There was terror and rampant corruption, the state was getting backward in the race of development and has gone to 14th place. Without naming INLD, he said that those people were now committing that now they would not repeat those. During the last seven years, there has been attempt to take along the 36 biradaris and bringing back the state on path of development, which has resulted that Haryana has now come up as an example at the national level, he added. He said that the Planning Commission has also adjudged development rate of the State at 11.6 per cent during the Five Year Plan of 2007-12.
