Chandigarh, March 16- Haryana Labour and Employment Minister, Mr Nayab Singh Saini said that sewing machines would be given to 2,400 registered women labourers of the state.
Mr Saini said that these 2400 sewing machines would be distributed to them on March 19 and on March 21, 2018.
He said that sewing machine to 60,000 registered women labourers will be distributed. Till now, 3,000 machines have already been distributed. He said that on March 19, sewing machines would be distributed to 400 women labourers each at Ambala city, Sonipat, Indri in Karnal and Ratia in Fatehabad.
He said that on March 21, he would himself distribute sewing machines to 800 women labourers in Kaithal. Besides this, cheques would also be distributed to beneficiaries of various schemes of Labour and Employment Department in Karnal. So far, Rs 5.17 crore have been distributed to 102 labour suffering from Silicosis diseases. A sum of Rs 300 crore has been distributed under various other schemes, he added.
