New Delhi,25 Apr:Shri Shekhar Dutt, Deputy National Security Advisor has called upon the youth to think positively as positive thinking is the key to success. Addressing the NCC cadets at a special National Integration Camp in New Delhi today, he said the youth must endeavour thoughts into action and work towards improving the future of the nation. Quoting the former President Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam, Shri Dutt said that youth should dream for the betterment of the country because dreams only give you the ability to think positively.
The special National Integration Camp is being conducted at Delhi from April 19 – 30, 2008. The camp is attended by 815 boy and girl cadets from various NCC directorates, including 671 cadets from Jammu and Kashmir.
The Special National Integration Camp has essentially been organized for the youth of Jammu and backward areas which include Baramulla, Poonch and Bhaderwah districts. The camp was organized with an aim to encourage and push the youth of this sensitive state into the national mainstream. This will also help the cadets of J&K to get a first hand exposure to the progress of the country and the various opportunities available to them. On this occasion, NCC cadets of J&K and Orissa region presented colourful cultural programmes depicting basically folk culture of J&K and Orissa. Later, Shri Shekhar Dutt gave away prizes to the artists. He also received a memento from DG NCC Lt Gen Prakash S Chaudhary.
