New Delhi/Chandigarh, October 10: The Punjab Chief Minister and the Patron of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) Mr. Parkash Singh Badal today called on the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and TDP Supremo Mr. Chandra Babu Naidu at Andhra Bhawan New Delhi this evening.
Mr. Badal expressed concern over the deteriorating health of Mr. Naidu who is on indefinite fast.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Mr. Badal reiterated his party’s firm stand to oppose the anti-people and anti-poor policies of UPA government tooth and nail adding that Shiromani Akali Dal would extend all possible support and cooperation to the TDP against the arrogance of the Congress party. He said the national Congress leadership was bent upon putting the peace, communal harmony and integrity of the country in peril just for the sake of its narrow political ambitions. He said the days of the UPA government were numbered as the country men had already been brewing with a lot of resentment against its anti-people policies on one hand and rampant corruption, administrative inability and political insensitivity on the other. Mr. Badal categorically said the people of the country have already made up their mind to show the inefficient UPA government a door thus paving a way for the installation of BJP led NDA government at centre after the Lok Sabha polls.
