Yamini Arora, Citizin Journalist, Delhi,31 Mar : I was driving to my office today (3/31/2010), near Shoprix Mall, near UFlex complex in Noida, around 1PM when a white colored Maruti 800 (DL5C) zoomed past me at a high speed from the wrong side. It got me curious when the car had “Police” written on rear screen and also the Police logo (red and blue rectangle) on its license plate.
The person driving the car was talking on phone. I tried to catch up with his speed so I could click this interesting scene. Just when I clicked his picture, I has to stop at the next signal, whereas he just jumped the red signal. So first he overtakes from wrong side, then he keeps talking on his phone while holding his phone in his right had for more than 1 kilometer, and then he jumps the stop signal. What an apt case of leading by example. This is how the law enforcers behave when they are on road/off duty. They violate multiple laws of land like not speaking on phone while driving and respecting a red signal.
