Shri Pawan Kumar Bansal, Union Minister of Science and Technology and Earth Sciences said that India and Japan will have closer partnership with the Indian Science and Technical institution in the field of climate change, sustainable development and global environmental issues. During a meeting with Mr. Koji Omi, founder chairman of Science and Technology in Society (STS) Forum and former finance minister, they discussed to establish deeper relationship between scientist, Science & Technology establishment and also with the business community engaged in the business of clean technology and sustainable development objectives.Dr. Koji Omi is a key member of LDP and he was instrumental in enacting the fundamental law of science and technology in 1995. Dr. Koji Omi invited Mr. Pawan Bansal and Dr. Ashwani Kumar, Minister of State for Science & Technology and Earth Sciences to attend the annual global conference to be held in Kyoto, Japan in November, 2011 to discuss ways and means to deploy science and technology in the welfare of mankind. The aim of STS forum is to build a worldwide network amongst scientists, policy makers and business throughout the world. Earlier Dr. Koji Omi met Shri Ashwani Kumar with his delegation.
