Chandigarh, September 19th: The Mumbai based theatre group Yatri staged a comedy play “Hadh Kar Di Aapne” on the third day of the ongoing Chandigarh Theatre Festival at Tagore Theatre here today. The evening was inaugurated by the Chief Secretary, Haryana, Smt. Urvashi Gulati in the presence of senior officials of Chandigarh Administration. Written by Meer Muneer Hadh Kar Di Aapne is directed by Om Katare. The Cast included Om Katare, Damini Kanwal, Deepshikha, Gagan Rair Paromita Chatterjee, Vikas Prasad, Ashok Sharma, Yogendra Chaudhary. The play depicts an unusual happening in a middle class family where the head of the family, aged 52, realizes one fine morning that he is going to be a father again. This question arises of how he shall handle the situation with a 23 year old daughter and a son-in-law.Mohan, a 50 year old gentleman is patriarch of an Indian traditional middle class family. He lives in his house along with his wife, a daughter 23 years old and son-in-law almost of 30 years. And one fine day his 45 year old wife breaks news that creates furor in the house…”she is pregnant”. “At this age…” that’s the reaction from one and all closely and distantly connected with the family. This breaking news dramatically turns the attitude, life-style, inter-personnel chemistry within the house.
