CHANDIGARH, March 12, 2008: Professor R.C. Sobti, Vice Chancellor, Panjab University, Chandigarh distributed the certificates to the teachers,
researchers and students of psychology on the successful conclusion of two day workshop on emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence. In his remarks that training of life skills like optimism, dedication, empathy, response control, sharing, gratitude, self esteem, emotional control and service of mankind is the need of the hour.
These psychological and social skills go a long way in enhancing happiness, productivity and peace in the world. These skills are very important in personal success as well as corporate functioning. He appreciated Professor S.S. Nathawat, Professor Emeritus Jitendra Mohan, Dr. Dalip Singh, I.A.S. and Professor Meena Sehgal for working as resource persons and organizing this skill enhancing training program. The participants overwhelmingly requested the professional psychology association to conduct such workshops for students, teachers, executives and managers to enhance their capacities and efficacy. About 20 psychology teachers of local colleges and 120 students participated in the life-skill enhancement program of the department of psychology according to Prof. Meena Sehgal, Chairperson, Dept. of Psychology, P.U.
