CHANDIGARH, JAN 15 :Former international wrestler and national coach Ajay Pathak of Mohali Police has been appointed as technical official by the Wrestling Federation of India for the 34th National Games to be held in Jharkhand from February 15 28.
Giving this information here today, Chandigarh Wrestling Association secretary Darshan Lal said that the WFI has informed the association about the selection of Ajay Pathak as technical officials for National Games. Ajay Pathak had earlier officiated in more than 30 national level competitions. He is a qualified FILA/WFI technical official. The 35-year-old was coach of the Indian team which competed in the World Junior Championship in 2005 held in Bulgaria and the Indian wrestlers brought laurels to the country by winning medals. Ajay was attached with the Indian coaching camp conducted in Aurangabad for the World Junior Wrestling Championship in Bulgaria.
Ajay is also preparing himself for the forthcoming World Veteran Wrestling to be held in Philippines and Turkey. "I am working hard and has reduced my weight to 80 kg from 92 kg," said Pathak.
