Chandigarh, 2 September, 2013 : Indo Farms’s ‘Great Indian Tractor Journey’ from Chandigarh to Kanyakumari vying to register its name in the Limca Book of world record for the longest Indian Expedition on tractor was today flagged off from Press Club , Chandigarh . “Spreading the message of peace across 28 cities and approximately 7000 Km, the tractor is expected to return back on World Peace Day on 21 September 2013”, stated Mr Rahul Khanna COO, Marketing, Indo Farm Equipment Limited.
“It rather feels to be in the sports car”, states Jaibir Singh Virk, the man given the task to spread the message of peace on the wheels intending to create the world record for longest Indian Expedition on tractor . “It is an A/C tractor, has stylish looks and is sleek and powerful at the same time, and thus fit in my choice for creating a world record on this particular tractor. It definitely would not be easy to create this record as the route includes hilly area, deserts, curvy roads and tight plains but at the same time I also wanted to prove that Indian machinery is no less than imported machinery “, states Virk who confides in his fellow member Amit Chaudhary and the power, fuel efficiency and reliability of the 75 HP tractor which already conquered its place with its stylish looks in Chennai Express.
Providing the information about the route, Mr C N Dhar , Senior Vice president , Operations, Indo Farm Equipment Limited informed, “It will almost cover 28 cities a few of which are Delhi, Gwalior, Banglore, Madurai, Udupi , Panjim, Surat, Pune Udaipur and Bikaner . “ The tractors he stated are required to work for longer hours and driving at a stretch for 18 hours is also a test for our vehicle. We are glad, Jaibir Singh Virk has chosen our tractor for this kind of tough route” states Mr Dhar
