Barinder Saluja, Chandigarh ,Sept 27 : Under the Banner of ongoing World Tourism Week being celebrated by the Chandigarh Administration in the City, today Tourism Walk was organised in which Students, Teachers, Citizens and officials of the UT administration took part. Starting from the Heritage & Emblem of Chandigarh, i.e. Open Hand, the walk proceeded through Bogunvillia Garden passing through Fitness Park and culminating at the Musium. Where the children were given the refreshments to eat.
The walk was Falgged off by Mr. Pardeep Mehra, Advisor to UT Adminisrator, from Open Hand monument, at 7 am early in the morning, where, along with school children & teachers, those who were present were, Mr. Ram Niwas, Home Secretary & other UT Officials.
Te race went through Bogunvillie Garden, Fitness Park, Leisure Valley and culminated at Government Musium & Art Gallery sector 10 Chandigarh.
Mr. Ram Niwas said that the very concept of Tourism Walk is a part of the on going World Tourism Week which gives a very humble and educative message of clean & green city.
