Chandigarh, May 7:An animated short film on generation gap, "Time Time ki Baat Hai" has won the Filmaka award for the entry level contest.Produced by a team of six young students of Frameboxx Animation and Visual Effects of the city, Ankur Kapoor, Navjot Singh, Varminder Singh Devgan, Naresh Kaswan, Manish Godara, and Sabir Singh, with Mr Chintan Sareen, Senior Technical Trainer at Frameboxx, the film has been adjudged at the Entry Level contest through online voting with a cash award of Rs.20,000 and a budget of Rs.30,000 to produce another short film for jury-level contest.
The film has been directed by twenty-two years old Ankur Kapoor, B.Tech in IT from Kurukshetra, whose passion into film production made him refuse his placement with Satyam Computers and join the animation course at Frameboxx.His previous first short films ‘Mistaken Identity’ won him a special jury prize, and another film, ‘Extra-curricular Activities in Office’ got him a runners-up prize which were judged by industry professionals like Rahul Bose, Anupam Kher, Anil Kapoor and Deepak Nayar. Both of these were live-action movies, while his recent entry is based on the theme of generation gap and is animated production and has been produced by the Frameboxx team.
