CHANDIGARH, May 6:A four-member Table Soccer Federation of India (TSFI) team returned home after participating in the World Championship Series in France (Paris) from May to to 4. More than 600 players from 20 countries including USA, England, Canada, France, Belgium, Austria and Algeria participated in World Championship Series. According to TSFI chairman Ravinder Talwar, who accompanied the team, said that the Indian players had gained rich experience as they competed with top players of the world. In the junior singles, Anitpal Singh finished joint ninth. Gurwinder Singh and Hardial Singh secured joint 17th spot in junior singles competition.The Indian pairs of Anitpal Singh and Pawandeep Singh and Gurwinder Singh annd Hardial Singh, secured joint fifth positions.Talwar said that four more World Championship Series would be conducted this year. These are: Tecball WCS (Aschaffenburg, Germany) – July 17-20; Garlando WCS (Tulln, Austria) – July 23-27;Roberto Sport WCS (Giubiasco, Switzerland) – September 12-14 and Tornado WCS (Las Vegas, Nevada, USA) – September 24-28.
