Chandigarh, May 23, 2009: Today, keeping pace with the onset of summer vacations in city Schools, Yuvsatta volunteers started weekend story telling sessions for children at ‘KITAB GHAR’, their library for marginalized children at Bapu Dham Colony. A bureaucrat Madhvi Kataria, who is also known for her passion for theatre and humanitarian concerns, played the role of story teller today. She in a very interactive manner shared stories of Munshi Premchand and Gurbaksh Singh Preetlari with around 60 young children present on the occasion.Explaining the initiative Jagdish Kumar, Incharge of the initiative shared that through this campaign children of the area will be motivated to read more and more good books during their summer vocations. And at the end of this month long campaign, best five children who have read maximum number of books will be honoured, the best one will also get a brand new bicycle.
