Chandigarh, Jan 11- Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda today announced to institute a State level award for Journalists which would be named after Mr. Shashi Malhotra and would be given annually to commemorate the memory of Mr Malhotra who was a journalist and a social work.
Mr. Hooda was paying tributes to former journalist and social worker of Ambala, Mr. Shashi Malhotra in Ambala City today.
Mr. Hooda said that Mr. Shashi had rendered selfless service to the society. He said that Mr. Shashi was with him when he began his “pad yatra” from Panchkula as State President against the anti-people decisions of the then state government. Mr. Shashi had contributed a lot in the working of Congress party and always gave priority to public interest.
