CHANDIGARH, April 17:Two titans of twenty 20 cricket will lock horns in Indian Premier League at the PCA Stadium in Mohali, 10 km from here on April 19. The prince of Indian cricket Yuvraj Singh’s Kings XI Punjab will take on Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings this duel.
It will be a fight between the best of the best, one where team-mates will face each other in a bid to come out tops. Spectators will have the opportunity to be a part of this historic occasion, where spin wizard Muttiah Muralitharan will bowl at the king of twenty 20 cricket, Yuvraj Singh and explosive southpaw Mathew Hayden will take on countryman and the world’s fastest bowler, Brett Lee.The match will be a treat for the spectators, to see their favourite Indian and international players in action. It will be a right blend of successful international players like Yuvraj, Brett, Irfan, Hayden, Kumar Sangakkara, Mahela Jayawardane, Muralitharan, Mike Hussey and raw local talents like Sunny Sohal, Pankaj Dharmani, Sahil Kukreja, Badrinath, S Anirudha, S Suresh Kumar etc.
Commenting on the first IPL match, Tom Moody, the coach of Kings X1 Punjab, said, "The boys are very excited and raring to go for the first match. Chennai has got a good balanced team and it will be a delight for the audience to see a thrilling encounter. We have a young team with world class allrounders. Kings XI Punjab is part of the eight competing teams promoted by The Indian Premier League. It is held and promoted by a consortium which includes leading actor, Preity Zinta & Industrialists Ness Wadia, Karan Paul ad Mohit Burman.
The team will be led by Yuvraj Singh, who is also the icon player and captain. At the helm is coach Tom Moody.
