CHANDIGARH, DEC 11 : St Kabir School of Sector 26 won the ICSE Inter-School Basketball Championship after beating St Xavier’s School of Sector 44 in the final by 37-14 at the St Kabir School’s courts here today.
Rupinder Kaur and Tanvi displayed their scoring skills as St Kabir raced to a comfortable victory. The St Kabir’s duo repeated pierced the St Xavier’s School defence to score. Rupinder scored 10 while Tanvi contributed 12 points. Naina Nijjar got five points.
Rosy (6) and Sukhmaneet (4) were the main scorers for St Xavier’s School. Riya and Mankanwar contributed two points each for the losers.
Fancied New Public School, Sector 18, Holy Child School of Panchkula and St Kabir School recorded victories in the St Kabir Inter-School Basketball Championship which began today.
New Public School defeated St Xavier’s School of Panchkula by 17-10. Neha Sangwan netted 10 points for the winners.
Holy Child School, Morni Hill Road, Panchkula prevailed over St Xavier’s of Panchkula by 12-9. Arshiya and Gulwalia scored six points each for Holy Child.
Spearheaded by Rupandeep (8) and Tanvi (10) St Kabir School outplayed Little Flower School of Panchkula by 40-18.
