Chandigarh, January 9:- To enable the Above Poverty Line (APL), Below Poverty Line (BPL) and Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) beneficiaries having ration card registered with the fair price shops in U.T., Chandigarh to get their Smart Cards, the Food and Supplies Department, UT Chandigarh announces that from January 11, 2012 onwards the enrolment camps will be held as per the schedule. The head of the family and atleast two members from each family who are above 12 years of age shall be required to be present at the Smart Card enrolment camp for enrolment purpose. The names of the remaining members who do not turn up at the camp will not be deleted. During the camp the bio – metrics and photographs of the family members will be captured.
The Smart Card enrolment camp for APL/BPL/AAY registered beneficiaries will be held fair price shop wise. The camps will be held for duration of 30 days at the venue as given in the schedule below.
The list of registered APL/BPL/AAY ration card holders has been pasted at fair price shop and at the venue also. All the beneficiaries are requested to go through the list and obtain a token from the fair price shops where their ration cards stand registered before proceeding to the venue for enrolment purpose.
