Chandigarh, March 6
Mr. Ajoy Sharma, Director Higher Education inaugurated ICT lab today at State Institute of Education Sector-32, by lighting the lamp of knowledge. The ICT Centre is equipped with 36 computer and highly sophisticated video cameras scanners, new generation computers, hardware and soft ware’s, live –streaming videos, display and high powered DCP
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sharma said that teachers are the facilitators in our society hence their training in latest techniques is mandatory. The SIE center would modernize the training being imparted to In-service and pre-service teachers.
Dr. Surinder Singh Dahiya, Director,State Institute of Education informed that the main objective of running the centre is to make the teacher aware of the ICT tools and enhance their competencies in using offline and online electronic resources. He said that the centre would facilitate training of teachers in the latest state of art technology.Th center will have internet connection which will help the pre –service teachers to hone their professional skills.
Director Public Instructions, UT Sunil Bhatia ,District Education Officers,Mr. Dilbagh Singh and Mr. Ram Kumar Sharma also visited the centre.
