Chandigarh, 27 May, 2011. Sh. Satya Pal Jain, Ex-MP and National Incharge of the Legal and Legislative Cell of the BJP has strongly condemned the highly objectionable utterances made by certain Congress leaders, including Sh. Hari Parshad and Sh. Phul Chand Mullana, against Sh. Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Former Prime Minister of India; Km. Mayawati, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and the Bharatiya Janata Party, in the session of the Congress in Panchkula today. In a statement issued here today, Sh. Jain said that the type of language which has been used by these leaders, that too in the presence of the Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, betrays the mental bankruptcy not only of the leaders but also of the Congress party as a whole.
He said that Sh. Atal Bihari Vajpayee does not need any certificate about his contribution to India and Indian freedom struggle from Congress (I). He said that Sh. Vajpayee’s whole life has been dedicated to the nation and any ‘absurd’ allegations by Congress leaders just amounts to throwing mud and dust at the moon, which will ultimately fall back on them.
Mr. Jain said that one may have hundred and one differences with Km. Mayawati but Congress leaders should not forget that she is not only the Chief Minister of a state but also the National President of a National Party, and a respectable woman leader of India. The vulgar, indecent and highly insulting remarks made about her are an insult to the entire nation as well as to womanhood itself.
Mr. Jain said that he condemns all such ‘absurd’ comments made about Sh. Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Km. Mayawati, with all contempt that the allegations deserve, to say the least.
Mr. Jain called upon Smt. Sonia Gandhi and Dr. Manmohan Singh to apologise to the nation for the same and also control the tongue of their party leaders, before it is too late.
