Chandigarh Jan 9 In the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2008 results for the Indian Institutes of Management released this morning Mr. Sanjot Malhi has scored 99.83% Percentile. Sanjot is an exceptional student, an all-rounder with achievements across the spectrum. Mr Sanjot Malhi is the son of Mr Gurjot Singh Malhi, Director General Police,Haryana,Home Guards and Civil Defence.
On the back of his outstanding profile and score of 99% percentile in the GMAT, he was recently selected to be interviewed for the prestigious Silver Scholars Program for Yale University’s MBA program; he is part of only a handful of elite students from around the world to be interviewed despite having no full time work experience. In India too, besides the CAT he has cleared the exam for the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) as well as the JMET for MBA at IIT (All India rank of 137) with flying colours.
Sanjot has recently completed his Electrical & Electronics Engineering (Hons.) degree from BITS, Pilani in December 2008. Even though Sanjot’s batchmates are still in the final year of enginnering at BITS, Pilani, Sanjot has completed his degree in three and a half years, saving a full semester due to additional credits taken by him, something only three out of the batch of 800 students have managed to do at BITS.
Sanjot has undergone his education in two continents: Europe and Asia and knows several foreign languages including Dutch, French and Spanish besides English, Hindi and Punjabi. Sanjot is a national football player having played the Santosh Trophy for the Chandigarh state team as one of the youngest participants ever. He has also remained captain of the Hague Cricket Club in the Netherlands.
Sanjot has undertaken research as a summer intern at IMD business School in Lausanne, Switzerland. He was the youngest intern ever and the only without any full time work experience. He worked on a tripartite initiative of The Government of India, the Confederation of India Industry and IMD, Switzerland for Inclusive growth in India.
