Chandigarh, 19th February, 2011: Experience the novelty of Rajasthani delicacies combined with an authentic blend of exquisite flavours at Rajdhani’s ‘Royal Rajasthani Food Festival’. Rajdhani Thali restaurant, the flagship brand of Mirah Hospitality, brings the Rajasthani culture and rustic cuisine of the Marwars and Rajputs for the guests. The festival has commenced at Rajdhani outlet in the City Centre Mall IT Park here and PAN India on 18th February and will continue till 27th February, 2011.
Rajasthani Cuisine is in many ways unique from other culinary traditions of India. Over the years, due to scarcity of water, lack of green vegetables and other problems associated with the climate, Rajasthani cuisine developed a style of its own, to suit the conditions. Just like the rich arts and crafts of the state, the food is equally considered as a distinguished form of art.
This Rajasthani Food Festival is not merely a food festival, but a celebration of the vibrant and regal culture of Rajasthan. During this festival, every Rajdhani outlet will be decorated with colorful and vibrant bandanis and matkas. Conventional Rajasthani folk songs will be played to create a magnificent atmosphere. The servers will dress up in traditional Rajasthani dress wearing white kurti, dhoti, bandani and pagdi. There will also be a professional person to apply mehendi for the guests during the festival.
“Each region in India is known for its own traditional dishes and specialties, and Rajasthani cuisine too has its own unique flavours. Understanding the acceptance and demand for this Rajasthani cuisine in India, we decided to bring for our guests, the Royal Rajasthani Food Festival. From the royal kitchens of Rajasthan, we bring to the guests, a perfect blend of colourful texture and regal delicacy for the food lovers” said Mr. Rahul Kohli, Restaurant Manager, Rajdhani, Chandigarh.
