RISING INDIA YOUTH ORGANISATION (RIYO) inaugurates the mega movement “TIRANGA BAND IN EVERY HAND 2018” in which 50,000 youth across the Tricity will be given The TIRANGA bands. As informed by the RIYO President, Neeraj pant “It will be a month-long initiative full of youth oriented events like quiz on “BHARAT KO JAANO”, flag march from Solan to Barod in which 20 ft. tall Flag will be unfurled on a mountain peak, Indian Traditional Dance competition, Youth Conclave and various other events for social welfare like cloth and stationary distribution to the underprivileged, tree plantation and cleanliness drive and blood donation camp. This movement was a great success last year and has been successful in drawing attention and support of various renowned personalities. We further aim at spreading this in various colleges besides Panjab University and increasing the reach from 15,000 to 50,000 this year with more leap towards an overall personality development of the students”.
The main attraction of the Culminating Ceremony of this movement,which will take place in mid-august, is the pledge taken by masses on national integrity, all united by wearing Tiranga bands which further strengthens the feeling of unity, integrity, wholesome and belongingness to one nation by recitation of National Anthem in chorus. ‘Safai Karamchaaris’ and Security Guards serving in this university will also be felicitated.
The inauguration ceremony will be graced by the presence of Ms. Kirron Kher(MP, CHANDIGARH) ,Assistant Solicitor General Sr. Adv. Chetan Mittal, Capt. Bhupinder Singh(Vir Chakra), Sh. Vivek Bharti (Prominent social worker) and on 15th July at 6pm at Law Auditorium Ground, P.U.
