Chandigarh: March 24 : Major Raj Sangram Singh of Assam Rifles, astride Road Runner, bagged gold by scoring scoring 414 points in the‘Dressage Novice’ event of the All India Police Eqestrian Championship and Mounted Police Duty Meet- 2009 at the Haryana Police Complex in Madhuban (Karnal) today.
He also won second position with Horse Pop Star scorring 387 points. Head Constable Inderpal Singh of U.P. Police and ASI Hari Kishan of Haryana Police jointly won bronze medals by obtaining 384 points each.
In the ‘Farrier’s Test” event Head Constable Raja Ram of ITBP claimed gold medal by securing 30.05 points, Constable Ramesh Chander of Punjab Police won silver medal. Head Constable Ranjeet Singh of BSF and Ravi Singh of Manipur Police jointly bagged bronze medal by scoring 26.50 points each.
In the ‘Preliminery Jumping’ event Head Constable Shri Ram of BSF, riding Pawan, FC Rakesh Kumar of Rajasthan (Love) and Maj.Raj Sangram Singh (Pop Star) of Assam Rifles finished first, second and third,respectively.
In ‘Novice Jumping’ event MS Ratanpura Shonya (Shonya) of Gujarat Police, Jagat (Master Mind) of Delhi Police, Hari Kishan ( Shiva) of Delhi Police and Major Raj Sangram Singh ( Road Runner) of Assam Rifles secured 1st , 2nd , 3rd and 4th position respectively.
In ‘Jumping Medium Normal’ event Hit Karan, astride Tushar, of M.P. Police, Dharam Pal ( Kavita) of Delhi Police, Lakhwinder Singh with his horse Archery of Punjab Police and Raghwinder Singh ( Menka) of BSF secured 1st , 2nd , 3rd and 4th position, respectively.
In the ‘Tent Pegging (Individual) event ASI Ram Bhagat ( Mriga-Naini) and Inspector Ram Phool (Apolo) of Haryana Police secured the first and second positions, respectively.
Jagdish Singh (Jasmine) and Talwinder ( Sonia), both of Punjab Police secured 3rd and 4th positions, respectively.
