Dr. Avnish Jolly, Chandiagrh:Raja Ram Gupta currently working with FXB India Suraksha as Out Reach Worker (ORW) is being working in HIV field for more than 10 years. He has had worked with all the professionals who are holding reins of important health related positions in Chandigarh, Punjab and Haryana. Like Chnad Singh Madan (State Coordinator RCH, Haryana), Meenu (Deputy Director –TI, SACS, Punjab) and Sandeep Mittal (Deputy Director –TI, SACS, Chnadigarh).
He invested his prime years of his youth in HIV/ AIDS prevention and finds solace in giving information related to HIV transmission, care and support. He gives his opinion behind the extension of pandemic to changing culture and societal values and asks for maturation education at school level references of complete health education and demands government should start neighborhood programmes for street adolescents and illiterate youths. He also shares his experience and confidently put the point that HIV/ AIDS is a holistic issue and it should not be dealt in isolation. On issue of migrants he has interesting suggestions regarding providing correct health information which can be helpful for the proper implementation of migrant participation related projects.
High school from Allahabad believes social work has to be done in a meticulous manner and under the guidance of an expert otherwise expenditure on activities would soar up and out put would not be of desire level. He thanked FXB India Suraksha providing him an opportunity to work in different social issues.
He holds grievance that lower level Health Care Providers neither receive due recognition nor emoluments. This situation some times creates exasperation and resentment of high level and he also demanded respect for initial rapport developer. But he also has high reverence for his Program Coordinator Umesh Jaiparkash Baurai, for his participatory methods in implementing NACP – III and rendering services to the community in the preview of social work.
