Dr. Avnish Jolly, Chnadigarh, 28th July :Punjabi-Kannada Sahit Manch is being formed in Kandala Village, Near Jagatpura , Mohali, India.
Munch will work to bring awareness about literature among village people and clarify their myths related with it. This Munch will translate Punjabi writings into kannda language and kannda literature will be translated into Punjabi. Pandit Rao, lecturer, Govt. College for Girls, Sector 42 Chandigarh, has taken initiative to teach village students how to write poems in Punjabi. According to Pandit Rao all the social problems can be eradicated by producing good Literature so students will be encouraged to read and write Punjabi literate. Comparative literature work is urgent need of modern times for sustainable development so this Manch has taken the initiative.
