CHANDIGARH, JUNE 19:The Punjab Gymnastic Assocation today announced a list of 25 gymnasts to represent the State in the Inaugural National Youth Games to be held in Bangalore from July 22 to 29.
Announcing this here today, PGA secretary PS Virk said that the team was selected on the basis of trials conducted at Gurdaspur on June 18. The selected gymnasts will attend two coaching camps before participation in the National Youth Games.
The first coaching camp will be held from June 21 to July 5 and the second coaching camp will be from July 8 to 17. The coaching camps will be held at Jalandhar for boys (artistic) and at Gurdaspur for girls (artistics). Thecamp for girls (rhythmic) will be held at Amritsar
The team: Boys (artistic: Manpreet, Arun, Mandeep, Deepak, Rohit and Gaurav (Jalandhar), Lovepreet and Gaurav (Ludhiana), Sunil (Patiala), Sanjeev (Amritsar), Jagjit (Gurdaspur).
Girls (artistic): Naginder, Sarabjit, Gulwinder, Kanika, Santosh, Kawaljeet, Varinder, Simranjit (Gurdaspur), Sangeeta Kumari and Sangeeta Chouhan (Patiala)
Girls (rhythmic: Keerat, Ria, Manveet, Muskan (Amritsar) and Prabjot (Patiala).
