The India Post, Chandigarh, 16th December, 2008 :Property Consultant Association of Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali today donated an ambulance in charity to Khusth Ashram, Sector 47 for providing emergency services for the needy Leprosy patients. UT Finance Secretary, Sanjay Kumar was the chief guest at the function.
Mr. Kumar on the occasion said that this is the moral responsibility of every individual to bring the inmates of the Ashram into the main stream of the society. He appealed the people present there to visit places like orphanages, old age homes, Homes for mentally challenged and spend time there and listen to their problems and demands. He also said that the van-cum-ambulance will help in the easy transportation of Leprosy patients. The UT Administration will extend all possible help to the Ashram, added Finance Secretary.
