The India Post, Chandigarh, 2nd September, 2008 :Prof. R.K. Kohli, Coordinator, Centre for Environment, Panjab University has been selected for Felicitation during the International Conference on Biodiversity, Environment and Sustainability Challenges for future on 4th September, 2008 in the University of Delhi (North Campus).
In this 3 days conference over 50 environment scientists from US, UK, Germany, Australia, Canada, Japan, France, Barzil, Russia and Fiji are to discuss the challenges being faced and expected to the faced in the future.
Prof. Kohli, an Ecologist of Global accreditation of highest level specialises in Invasive Ecology/weed Ecology. Earlier for exemplary work on Biodiversity the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Govt. of India had selected him for its highest award of “B.P. Pal National Environment Fellowship” for the period 2002-04. Prof. Kohli has published over 100 research papers in SCI Peer-reviewed international journals apart from over 120 scientific articles and 13 books, 4 of which have been published from USA according to Prof. R.K. Kohli, Centre for Environment & Vocational Studies, PU.
