Chandigarh, November 12 : Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force will organise the 52th All India Police Duty Meet Shooting competition at Basic Trainin Centre Bhanu from November 18 to 22.
Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force spokesman Sudhakar Natrajan said that all Central Police and State Police Organizations had given there consent to participate in the competitions. He said that participant would perform their shooting skills by handling 9mm Browning Pistol/0.32mm Revolver, 9mm Carbine Machine Gun and 7.62/5.56/0.303 mm rifles.
He said that be MS Bhurji, DIG, Basic Training Center had made elaborate arrangement for the participants in this All India meet at Basic Training Centre Bhanu. All police organizations of the country who had endeavored to give a fillip to the aiming and weapon handling skills of personnel so as to make a positive ramification on the professional standards of Police Forces, which would indeed be the ultimate aim of the meet.
He said that under the guidance of DIG a high-tech electronic firing range had been made at Basic Training Centre which would not only be used for above meet but would also stand them in good stead for future training of ITBP and other forces located in Chandigarh or Panchkula area.
Natrajan added that this meet of national importance has a pivotal significance, keeping in view the rapidly changing security scenario where sharp shooting skills of the security personnel would be needed to put give the nefarious designs of anti-national elements and to take them on whenever the need arise.
Various National and International level shooters of all police forces will perform their marvelous shooting in this meet.
