The Theatre of the Fourth Way presents Hell and Illuminating Arthur Rimbaud, subtitled in English.Hell and Illunimating showcases the work of the French poet Arthur Rimbaud. This visual and sonorous creation will be composed of a Choir and one actor. The show wavers between dreams and reality; everything is suspended; and will recount tree periods of the life of this poet: youth (early genious), adolescence (Paris, the travels…) and the African period. It will use the poems of his youth, some texts
from A Season in Hell, some from The Illuminations and some letters. The text is held by a choir which can be a shadow, or a sister, or a mother, or a muse, it goes through space and will move on two dimensions, dream and reality. Dressed in antique togas, the actors will go with the poet on the path of memory till his death bed in Marseille. The show is made of shadows and lights, candles, three spotlights, and a screen on which will be projected in English the journeys and the rhymes of the poet.
The play is brought to Chandigarh by the theatre group The Theatre of the Fourth Way which was formed by Elisa Tabet and Daphné Piquet in 2001. Since then they continue to research and the explore great texts questionning our tolerance for the "Other one".
