Today, Lioness club of Chandigarh & Panchkula, Foundation For Developmental Research,Chandigarh & Yuvsatta organised a Personality Development programme for the Adolescent Girls of Bapu Dham under Sakhi project which is supported by Chandigarh Social Welfare Board.
Prof. Kuldip Kaur from CRRID, Chandigarh was the main resource person of the programme and address the group. She urged both the Govt. and non-Govt.Organizations to meet the special needs of adolescents and to establish appropriate programs to respond to those needs.
Dr. Dazy Zarabi, Programme Coordinator, Dept. of Community Development & Disability Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh in her inaugural address said that directing the courage and creativity of normal adolescents into healthy pursuits is part of what successful counselling, teaching or mentoring an adolescent is all about.
Dr. Manmeet Kaur, Assistant Prof.,School of Public Health, PGI, Chandigarh discussed in detail about the personality development of adolescents in a very interactive manner. Lioness Parminder Aulokh,President Chandigarh and Panchkula Branch urged all the girls to complete their education and she along with three other lioness members volunteered to adopt one girl each for funding their further education.
Later Puja Sharma organizer of the program proposed vote of thanks to everybody present and especially to members who contributed for the education of adolescent girls.
