Chandigarh, Mar 26 : BSP candidate for the coming Lok Sabha elections and former Union Minister for Civil Aviation, Mr Harmohan Dhawan today addressed three public meetings at different locations in and around the city.
Mr Dhawan first went to Sector 17, opposite the Electricity Office and addressed Government Employees. Federation of Government Employees & Workers president Mr Bhagmal Rana and general secretary Mr Chandra Shekhar apprised him of the atrocities of Chandigarh Police on the agitating Hero Honda workers two days ago at Sector 17. Both the leaders handed over a memorandum to the Home Secretary and demanded enquiry into the Police lathi charge. Mr Dhawan supported the demand.
The BSP state convener Mr Dhawan addressed two public meetings at Dairy Complex Maloya and village Mauli. He reiterated his promise of working for the welfare of the poor and downtrodden, once he wins the election.
He said last time he fulfilled all the promises made to the electorate that time. This time again, he would keep his promises. He called himself as “Kaam ka aadmi, Janata ka aadmi”.
