The India Post, Chandigarh, 10th October, 2008 :The Department of Youth Welfare, Panjab University, Chandigarh has planned 12 Zonal level Youth Festivals for 178 Colleges affiliated to the University from 12th October to 24th October, 2008. In these festivals about 20,000 artists will participate in various items of Music, Dance, Theatre, Fine Arts and Literary Items. One day Heritage Festivals will also be held during these zonal level youth festivals to promote rich Cultural Heritage of Punjab. This year, more then seven Festivals out of 12 are organized in the rural colleges of Panjab University. The details of the festivals are as under:-
Festival for Chandigarh A Zone will be held at Govt. College, Sector 46, Chandigarh (21st October to 24th October) Ludhiana-A Zone at Guru Nanak National College, Doraha (17th October to 20th October), Ludhiana-B Zone at Guru Nanak College for Girls, Model Town Ludhiana (12th October to 16th October), Muktsar Zone at Guru Nanak College for Girls, Muktsar (18th October to 21st October), Moga-Ferozepur-A Zone at Shri Ram College, Dalla, Distt. Ludhiana (20th October to 23rd October), Moga-Ferozepur-B Zone at SDS College for Women, Lopon (12th October to 15th October), Hoshiarpur-A Zone at MBBGG Girls College, Rattewal (20th October to 24th October), Hoshiarpur-B Zone at Govt. College, Hoshiarpur (16th October to 19th October) Educational Colleges-A Zone at GMT College of Education, Jalandhar Bypass, Ludhiana (19th October to 22nd October), Educational Colleges-B Zone at GHG Khalsa College of Education, Gurusar Sudhar (16th October to 19th October) Education Colleges- C Zone at Lala Jagat Narayan Education College, Jalalabad (21st October to 24th October 2008) according to Dr. S.M.
