Dr Yogesh Chawla released the book titled ” Sat Sri Akal Doctor Saheb” written by Panditrao Dharennavar, Assistant Professor, PG Govt College, Sector,46 Chandigarh. This book which was much needed for the South Indian Doctors to handle with language problem. The PGIMER has more than 40 percent of Doctors from south India for whom this book will be helpful. The book includes the lesson to learn Punjabi and Hindi language. This book also includes conversion between Doctor and patients in Punjabi, Hindi, Himachali, Haryanvi and Nepali. Panditrao who is the author of the book said ” The motive behind writing this book is to make patients conversable with Doctors in their own mother toung” Referring the need of the local language Panditrao said” Dr Yogesh Chawla was kind enough to allow me to teach Punjabi to south Indian Doctors in PGI which later helped me to write this book”
Panditrao who is originally from Karnataka has learned Punjabi so well that he has penned down 12 books in Punjabi and he has also translated Sri Jap Ji Saheb, Sri Sukhamni Saheb and Zafaranama into Kannada language. Panditrao who is teaching Punjabi to PGI Doctors, is being approached by PGI Nurse and Brother staff also to teach Punjabi. Panditrao also announced to teach Punjabi on Sunday also.
