Dec 30 :The Haryana government has announced to give a New Year gift to about 3.5 lakh state government employees by deciding to implement the recommendations of the Pay Revision Committee constituted under the Chairmanship of the Chief Secretary. Addressing a press conference at Chandigarh, Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said that the pay revision will be made effective from 1 January, 2006.
The employees will get revised pay from January 2009 and 40 per cent of the arrears of the pay will be paid in cash this year. The revision in allowances will be made effective prospectively from the month of January, 2009. The Chief Minister said that the HRA for Government employees had also been doubled. Employees can get 1 month leave encashment after every four years for LTC.
