It got finally launched in the city in full throttle by the top sales personnels from the company. Venue was Taj Chandigarh, it all began at 11.00 a.m. under tight security by cops. The perspective buyers and invitees start coming in at the venue.
Mr. Jnaneshwar Sen, Vice President Marketing Honda India, adressed media persons and invitees. Which followed by unveiling of New Honda City features description by Mr. Anil Baweja, Zonal Honda India Manager. He told that its going to advantage customers of this particular segment to buy All New Honda City with latest state-of-the-art technology.
The hall was full with Press, media persons, and all the Honda dealers from Chandigarh and vicinity. Mr. Ripandeep Singh, Director Prestige Honda could be seen very cherished with the launch of this new model. He said that its going to benefit both ends and sales going to rise by 20% at least for the current fiscal year. Talking to Mr. Deepak Jain, GM sales Prestige Honda (a dealership in Chandigarh) he told us that this model is a promising model as far as performance and technology is concerned and is going to attact more Honda lovers. He added that New Honda City has all the previous top-end features with some additional features like ABS, Advanced Integrated Audio System, Audio controls on Steering wheel, and is fitted with iVTEC engine with 118 PS power, but he also said that there is no compromise at the mileage with the addition of power. The price begins at 7,73,000 Rs. for the starting base model to as high as 8,93,000 Rs. for Automatic Fully Loaded model. There is an option of Manually Fully Loaded model at the cost of 8,23,000 Rs. Initially, there are only top end models are available and later on base model will also be available in the showrooms.
The Honda dealers have started booking the new Honda City and will deliver it to the customers by November 15th, 2008. Colours available are Habanero Red Pearl, Polished Metal Metallic, and Albaster Silver Metallic. There will be more colour options available to the customers by the end of January, 2009.
