The India Post, Chandigarh 5th Feburary :The Chandigarh Tourism latest initiative "the Nature Trail – tour to Nepli and Kansal Forest" is getting catchy with every passing day. The students of Eco-club of Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector-10, Chandigarh along with teachers of Eco-club and other staff members visited Nepli Forest Sanctuary with CITCO today. The students trekked through the Nature Trails and enjoyed the bounties of nature with the assistance of the Guide provided by Forest Department, who made all out efforts to make the tour most comfortable and interesting.
The students also enjoyed games like Chess, Carom board etc. Special "Tourism Tambola" was conducted by CITCO in which special mention was made of Eco-Tourism sights/ gardens and parks of Chandigarh, Panchkula & Mohali. Recreational and cultural programme was also organized by CITCO within the Nepli Forest Sanctuary during the tour in which students and staff participated with great enthusiasm. The students & accompanying teachers enjoyed the Tourism Tambola and other allied services as provided by CITCO and desired to take more students on such adventurous tours to Kansal & Nepli Forests to expose them to nature and enjoy this new tourism product of Chandigarh.
The Nature Trail Tours being conducted by CITCO in tandem with Tourism Department are becoming very popular amongst educational institutions and especially Eco-Clubs in various schools. Special packages are available for normal public/ tourists & children and also for the corporate clientele to visit the two forests sanctuaries of Chandigarh with all logistic support from CITCO including food and other eatable items at package rate of Rs. 250 and Rs. 500 per person.
