Barinder Saluja, Chandigarh,April 6 : With the advent of summer, the international chain of casual dining restaurants, Nando’s at Chandigarh, celebrates a momentous addition to their menu with the launch of Designer Drinks to compliment great restaurant experience. The Afro-Portuguese restaurant has added to its menu six varieties of tantalising designer drinks which are all about style, sophistication and being cool. The six refreshing drinks are perfect compliments to your meal which include Citra, Citrus Bliss, Refresh Mint, Coconut Crush, Cinnacino Cool, and Iced Chocospress, explained Manmohan Chandha, the area franchiser for Nando’s. “Designer Drinks are the result of international Culinary Innovation and Compliance (CIC) team of Nando’s which developed these six absolutely show-stopping, visually outstanding drinks”, he added.Nando’s has launched these drinks world over that are rejuvenating. The Designer Drinks match the city’s trend-setting ethos in every way, says Manmohan Chadha, be it architecture, the global wonder Rock Garden, or the innovative and enterprising spirit of Panjabis everywhere.
The bartender Gopal at Nando’s also demonstrated preparation of designer drinks right from the selection of glassware to the easy-to-get ingredients which are not only visually appealing but also absolutely refreshing. Nando’s with over 1000 restaurants worldwide in 34 countries, had opened in Chandigarh in November last in Sector 35B.
The recipe of the Six mouthwatering drinks introduced today is given below :-
CITRA:
Meet Citra-50ml of Citra Syrup mixed with 200ml of Sprite and a generous helping of ice cubes. Garnish with slices of fresh orange and voila! She’s ready for her close-up. This fun and flirty beverage may create a bit of a stir but she is never stirred, as she prefers that separated look.
CITRUS BLISS:
Say ‘Hi’ to Citrus Bliss – 30ml Monin Mojito Mint Syrup, 50ml grapefruit juice and 170ml Sprite coupled with ice cubes and 10 fresh mint leave. Spruce her up with some slices of fresh orange, lemon, lime and grapefruit and she’s good to go. Don’t forget-layers are in this season so don’t stor her.
REFRESH MINT:
Introducing Refresh Mint-30ml! Monin Mojito Mint Syrup, 100ml Sprite and ice cubes. And to make sure everyone has a crush on this fresh new addition to the menu, she’s garnished with a fresh mint spring or slice of lime. You don’t get any cooler than that.
COCONUT CRUSH:
Coconut Crush – the new drink on the black. 30ml Monin Coconut Puree, 100ml Sprite, 10ml fresh lime juice, 15ml vanilla ice cream and ice cubes all blended together to create this cooler than cool beverage. Never without her accessories, her glass is rimmed with lemon juice and desiccated coconut. Add a slice of fresh lime and you’re guaranteed a drink that everyone will go crazy for.
CINNACINO COOL:
The new buzzword is “Cinnacino Cool” – a fusion of 30ml Monin Vanilla Syrup, 45ml white chocolate powder. 10ml ground cinnamon, cappuccino from the Nestle Milano Machine and ice cubes. It’s all blended together then topped with some ground cinnamon. This caffeinated chick may be chilled but she’ll warm your heart in seconds.
ICED CHOCOSPRESSO:
It’s shaken, not stirred with Iced Chocospresso-40ml Monin Vanilla Syrup, Galao from the Nestle Milano Machine (milk and espresso separately) and 20ml Nondo’s chocolate and espresso. Slowly pouring the chocolate and espresso mix into the milk and vanilla syrup (which has been shaken with ice) will help create that ‘must have’ layered look. Sprinkle her with roasted coffee beans or cocoa powder on top of the foam to create a fashionably fresh beverage.
