CHANDIGARH, AUG 24 :Mohali will lock horns with Patiala in the final of the Punjab Inter-District Cricket Tournament for Under-19 for Dhruv Pandove Trophy. They won their semi-final matches by virtue of their first-innings lead.
At the PCA Stadium in Mohali, Mohali gained a 95-run first-innins lead against Zone B (Ropar) in the semi-final match. Resuming their first innings at the overnight score of 30 for 2, Zone B (Ropar) could score 210 in 80 overs. Arjun waged a tough battle for his unbeaten knock of 67. He reached the fence five times. Karan Sharma and Rohit Jassal scored 48 and 34, respectively.
Mohali bowler Jaskaran bowled a tight line and length to remove five Ropar batsmen and conceded only 62 runs. Gunjot (3 for 68) gave Jaskaran full support from the other end.
On Saturday, Mohali batted first and scored 311 for 9 in 95 overs.

At the Dhruv Pandove Stadium in Patiala, hosts Patiala got the better of Amritsar on the basis of ther first innnings lead of 85 runs. Needing 293 for an outright win, Amritsar were all out for 207 in 80.4 overs. Guriqwal was their main striker with a knock of 77. Pankaj Chaudhary remained not out on 22.
Himanshu Chawala was the most successful bowler for Patiala as he bagged 3 for 44 runs. Amrinder got two for 44.
On the first of the two-day match yesterday, Patiala made 292 for 9 in 95 overs. Preet Kamal slammed 101.
