Chandigarh, October 10- Haryana Dairy Development Cooperative Federation has increased the commission of dealers and distributors of Vita Milk and Milk Products from 17 Paisa per litre to 20 Paisa per litre with effect from October 16, 2008 after a gap of five years.
A decision to this effect was taken in a meeting chaired by the Chairperson of Haryana Dairy Development Cooperative Federation Mrs Chandravati with the dealers and distributors of Vita Milk and Milk Products held today at Panchkula. More than 70 distributors and dealers from all over the State and also from neighboring States like Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand participated in the meeting. The raise in the commission has been made on their persistent demand of the dealers. It will help in increasing the sale of Vita Milk and Milk Products in the state as well as the neighboring State.
On their demand a raise in the transportation charges on account of increase in diesel price had also been agreed upon. A flat increase of 2 paisa per litre on transportation was allowed to them. With this increase in the commission and transportation charges, the Federation and its constituents Milk Unions will have to pay Rs. 50 lakh extra annually to the distributors.. It is also informed in the meeting that the annual turnover of the Federation in the State was Rs. 620 crore and the net profit for the year 2007-08 was Rs. 3.59 crore.
