Prevention is better than cure was the motto of Medical Camp
Mohali : A Medical health check up camp was organized today by the Apoorva Pande foundation today at Gurdwara Harcharan Kamal Sahib Phase-10, Mohali in association with Hardeep Singh Sarao, MC, Phase X. Dr. Manisha Gupta, MD Medicine along with her team has examined patients & educated them about importance of good health. The camp was organized to boost the importance of routine chekup among public for healthy way of life. 187 patients were examined in the camp. Free blood samples for Lipid Profile and Glucose levels were taken besides Thesiometry tests were also done.
Mr.Ashwani Kumar Munjal while addressing the public told that in todays busy life people don’t pay attention towards their physical health and they ignore normal signs and symptoms of illness or confuse them with routine problems, which lead to delay in diagnosis and treatment. The number of person having diseases like diabetes ,blood pressure, heart diseaes are increasing day by day. The main cause of which is ignorance of common signs and symptoms of illness by our society.
Apoorva Pande foundation is making efforts by organising Medical Check Up Camp to educate general public to spread awareness about the general and common types of symptoms of different types of diseases so that preventive measures are taken.
Dr. Manisha Gupta informed the public that the most common among all is Hypertension. Persistent high blood pressure can increase your risk of a number of serious and potentially life-threatening conditions, such as heart disease, heart attacks,stroke,heart failure ,peripheral heart disease , aneurysms , kidney disease , vascular dementia etc
Mr Laxmikant Tewari, Chairman of Apoorva Pande Foundation educated people about the importance of routine checkup so that health issues, if any, can be addressed at early stages for better management and treatment. India house most numbers of diabetes in the world. The public and patients in the Medical Camp were told about the common symptoms for both types of diabetes includes Fatigue, Dry mouth and itchy skin, Blurred vision, Slow-healing sores or cuts, Pain or numbness in your feet or legs, Unplanned weight loss, Nausea and vomiting. Early diagnosis is helpful in treating any kind of life threatning disease.
